(PRWEB) September 19, 2011

The Corporate Whistle Blower Center is urging whistleblowers, who possess significant proof of any type of multi million dollar fraud involving a contractor, or corporation fleecing the taxpayer, or multi million dollar tax fraud, to not go running to the federal government, and or especially the U.S. IRS first. The group worries that without a substantial legal team, and supporting cast the whistleblower could see his, or her potential multi million dollar reward go up in smoke. The group says, “We think there are thousands of U.S. citizens who have the complete set of party pictures on their company, or an individual either over billing, defrauding the federal government, or committing massive federal tax fraud, and we are strongly urging whistleblowers, who have this type of proof to call us first, not the federal government.” The Coporate Whistle Blower Center says, “We have two super big worries about a whistleblower running to the federal government first. Number one worry is how do you know the government will do anything with your information? Number two, we are talking about federal employees, in our experience they don’t care. We are also urging potential whistleblowers to not go running to the news media with their information, as any public revelation of a whistleblowers information could destroy a whistleblowers chance of getting a reward.” Serious whistleblowers, who possess substantial proof of contractors, corporations, or individuals involved in multi million dollar over billing of the federal government, or massive tax fraud are encouraged to contact the Corporate Whistle Blower Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or they can contact the group via its web site at http://CorporateWhistleBlowerCenter.Com

So why is the Corporate Whistle Blower Center mocking the US IRS’s Whistleblower Program? Here are some examples, according to first hand accounts from Corporate Whistle Blower Center:

In the summer of 2006 a whistleblower met with a special agent of the IRS with his information about major national homebuilders using 100,000′s of undocumented Mexican construction workers to build homes throughout the US Southwest, Texas, and the US Southeast. The homebuilders were calling the undocumented workers 1099 subcontractors, so as to avoid federal, and state taxes on the workers. The whistleblower had proof including affidavits from organized labor, and witnesses. Cost to the taxpayer $ 10 billion dollars plus in unpaid federal taxes. The US IRS did nothing with the whistleblower’s information.
In 2007 a whistleblower approached the US IRS about massive tax fraud involving Internet gambling, and proceeds being laundered through German, and US Banks. The Whistleblower also had proof a German based Internet payment system was deeply involved in this tax fraud scheme. The whistleblower managed to shut down the German based Internet payment site, for US Internet gamblers. The illegal Internet gambling payments then shifted to US banks, and continue to this day. The IRS contacted the whistleblower, and told him to stop his whistleblower activities, or else the Russian Mafia would kill him. No action taken. Cost to U.S. taxpayers-billions.
A whistleblower created a team of insiders, at a major financial services company. The owner of this company was involved in multi million dollar tax fraud, and money laundering. The company sued the whistleblowers, and in the depositions only asked how much information they had shared with the IRS. The IRS was not present at the depositions, and the IRS dropped the case. The IRS case manager involved in the investigation had no accounting experience, and did not understand off shore trusts. No action taken by the IRS. Cost to the U.S. taxpayer tens of millions of dollars.
How does a U.S. Congress allow for such incompetence at federal agencies, when it comes to whistleblowers trying to do the right thing?

The Corporate Whistle Blower Center says, “if you possess significant proof, involving millions of dollars, in fleecing the federal government, or tax fraud we are hoping you will call us first. Not only will we try to find the absolute best legal team for you, but we will also do everything possible to help you advance your possible claim. We are the premier advocates for whistleblowers in the United States, and you can call us anytime at 866-714-6466.” http://CorporateWhistleBlowerCenter.Com

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 20, 2011

Los Angeles-based creative marketing agency Raging Artists has launched a simulated 2012 Honda campaign that offers an alternative approach to targeting the minivan buyer.

“The Van Beckons,” for example — from the carmaker’s 2011 Odyssey campaign — depicted a family man clinging to his lost youth. With its new video, Raging Artists sought to convey the notion that “A Family Man is Still a Man.” The spot was directed and shot by Tim Damon of Square Planet and features original music by composer David Della Santa of Volume Music + Sound.

“As a dad with three little girls who owns two Honda minivans, I had a genuine interest in creating an alternative Web video (http://ragingartists.com/?p=7091) that would illustrate the real-life excitement that goes along with being a family man,” said Justo A. Diaz, CEO/Partner at Raging Artists.

Diaz added that while marriage and family is more often than not typecast as the demise of fun and friendship, it is not an idea that most men are attracted to. Rather, they love their families, friendships and freedoms and would rather see an ad that can more effectively and accurately reflect this concept: “We are beloved by our families in part because of our instinct to slay dragons, to hunt and gather, to protect our loved ones. That’s what being a man is all about. Why diminish or suppress those instincts? A minivan driver isn’t a eunuch. No offense to eunuchs, of course, who have a sacred and pivotal place in history.”

The Raging Artists agency is one driven by creativity and inspired by the courage of its clients.

Recently, they have begun to move beyond the realm of basic public relations and marketing work. In order for the company to fuel their own creative output, RA launched the YouTube channel RagingArtistsTV on August 4, 2011. The channel features original video content covering a variety of topics that the agency finds relevant or interesting. The debut video is a group review on the movie Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon called “Transformers 3 Hits $ 1 Billion.” The intent of the channel is not only to create videos that people are interested in, but also to flex creative muscles without boundaries. “Successful advertising comes from a desire to create something that people will enjoy and remember,” said Raging Artists CCO/Owner Hesh Rephun. “Whether it’s MinivanCampaign.com or RagingArtistsTV, creating something outside the confines of a commissioned project is freeing. It keeps us sharp and it speaks to the ever-changing landscape of the advertising industry.”

“Raging Artists’ mandate is to live in the future,” said Diaz, who uses the term “double braining” to describe the agency’s unique approach of combining art and technology into their marketing strategy. “Clients turn to us because we have a knack for looking around the corner and making what we find there interesting, funny, or compelling. We’re not interested in what was or what could have been, we are focused on what can and will be. We are gamblers: we study the present and bet on the future.”

Concord, NH (PRWEB) April 30, 2012

Companies across the country have submitted their annual tax filings this month, but as they double check the numbers and send off their tax forms, how many have reviewed their books for potential sales force fraud, such as overstated or fictitious sales?

While large companies often have accounting departments where multiple bookkeepers check the work, small businesses can often only afford one person to keep track of accounts. Are the first indicators present: Has an employee’s commissions increased more than others in the same department? Has the company monitored its uncollected sales? Should the company perform a random survey of customers?

A recent fraud case in Concord, NH is just one example of how employees can overstate or create fictitious sales, costing a business both money and its customers.

A lawsuit filed earlier this month in Merrimack County Superior Court on behalf of the Maryland-based computer consulting firm Micro Focus alleges that Concord employee Timothy Livingston submitted more than $ 535,000 in fake invoices, netting Livingston nearly $ 50,000 in fraudulent commissions and bonuses.

Micro Focus discovered in the fall of 2011 that seven of his invoices were past due, some dating as far back as October 2010. In the next few months, the company worked with Livingston and the clients to get the invoices paid, but during that time Livingston displayed a number of signs that hinted toward something suspicious.

According to court documents, Livingston often refused to communicate about the invoices in writing and told Micro Focus he would handle the matter himself. He provided inconsistent answers and continually put off the collections department’s efforts to fix the matter.

In one case, Micro Focus alleges, Livingston presented the client with an estimate for services far below what Micro Focus would have approved. Once the client signed the lowball invoice, Livingston altered it to a higher amount more in line with what Micro Focus charges, pulling in a $ 8,698 commission. After the purchasing company was notified about the discrepancy, it told Micro Focus it wanted to take its $ 44,000 annual account elsewhere.

While no business likes to think its employees would commit fraud, Hi-Test News sees that there are a few ways to safeguard your company in the coming year, including overstated or fictitious sales.

1. Monitor uncollected sales. Does one employee have a greater amount of uncollected sales than others in his department? Adopt strict policies for monitoring uncollected sales.

2. Be aware of the signs. Is an employee living beyond his means? Is she having financial difficulties? Is there a suspected drug or gambling addiction? Other signs include defensiveness, control issues, being overly conscientious, divorce and family problems. While none of these signs mean an employee is stealing, it always helps to communicate with staff about problems you may see arise.

3. No company should allow one employee total control of all transactions. Review the financials yourself or look for an accountant with fraud prevention training who can recognize warning signs and identify inconsistencies.

4. Train employees on the signs of fraud and how to report it. Set up a system that allows employees to anonymously report possible fraud without fear of retaliation. This helps develop a culture of integrity and raises awareness of unethical behavior.

5. Review the appointment book or work orders. How do they compare to the work order history? Has there been a sudden increase in sales for one sales person. Stay involved with your business and talk to your employees about the day-to-day operations.

6. Contact customers on a random basis.

Keeping an eye out for warning signs, setting up safeguards and closely monitoring financial documentation can help protect your business from fraudulent activity.

Grand Ronde, OR (Vocus) September 11, 2009

Spirit Mountain Casino presents ”Sport Fight XXVI – Domination” on October 2, 2009, an exciting, action-packed night of mixed martial arts featuring an 11-bout card with two title fights.

In the main event, Chad ”The Show Stopper” Nelson (12-2-1), a fast-striking all around fighter from Eugene, takes on the reigning Sport Fight featherweight champion Enoch “The Animal” Wilson (15-6-1) in a five-round title fight.

In the evening’s co-main event, Josh “The Machine” Queen (12-0 amateur, 2-1 professional), a fast-striking freestyle fighter from Idaho takes on Mike “300″ Hayes (6-2-1), a stand-up Muay Thai fighter from Kirkland, WA in a 5-round heavyweight title fight.

Tickets for the MMA event at the Spirit Mountain Casino Events Center are on sale now for $ 15, $ 30, $ 50 and $ 75 through Star Tickets Plus. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.starticketsplus.com or by calling (800) 585-3737. With a seating capacity of 1,744, excellent seats can also be purchased at http://www.spiritmountain.com or at the casino Coyote Club desk. The first bout is scheduled for 8 p.m.; the doors open at 7 p.m.

Chad Nelson, who started out as a kick boxer, is prepared to go the distance with Wilson.

“I’ve seen Enoch over the years and I know that he’s a tough guy, so I’m coming ready to go all five,” said Nelson. “The only prediction I have for the fight is that it will be fast paced and exciting.”

Enoch Wilson, a Team Quest instructor in Tualatin who began his career fighting multiple styles in No Holds Barred matches, is looking for the KO.

“Chad is a very well rounded mixed martial artist. He is a dangerous striker and has a good submission game,” said Wilson. “With that said, I have only one primary focus and function when I get in the ring with Chad and that is to wreck shop by any and all means necessary. As usual, I will be searching for the KO; however, I am an opportunist and I will take the win wherever it presents itself.”

Josh Queen made his MMA professional debut in a heavyweight title fight against Jeremiah Constant, which he won by submission with a rear naked choke just six seconds prior to the end of the first round. Six months later, he defended that title against Josh Bennett, a freestyle fighter from Washington. Queen defeated Bennett 2 minutes, 16 seconds into the first round with what has become his signature move, the rear naked choke.

Mike Hayes started training for MMA two years ago and quickly established a strong amateur record. He went pro last February on the first Strikeforce show with a win over multiple belt holder Matt Kovacs. Hayes prefers to stand and bang, and has attracted a rapidly growing fan base due to his aggressive and exciting fight style.

Hayes says he is excited about his title fight with Josh Queen at Spirit Mountain Casino, and hopes that Queen will stand toe-to-toe and give the fans a true battle of big men.

SportFight, founded in 2003 by Matt Lindland and Randy Couture, is the leading mixed martial arts promotion in the northwest and has produced a number of fighters for major MMA organizations including the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Pride FC, K-1, the International Fight League, BodogFIGHT and Elite XC.

Jason Mraz

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) April 03, 2012

Atlantic recording artist Jason Mraz has announced plans for a major worldwide tour, dubbed “TOUR IS A FOUR LETTER WORD.” The newly announced dates will celebrate the upcoming release of his hugely anticipated new album, “LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD.” The album – which features the hit single, “I Won’t Give Up” – arrives in U.S. stores and at all online retailers on April 17th, while “simultaneously” being released worldwide on dates ranging from April 14 (Germany/Australia) and April 16 (UK and most of Europe).

The global trek, which sees Atlantic Records labelmate Christina Perri opening on the North American leg, will get underway in early June with a series of Asian dates that includes shows in South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. From there, Mraz will return home for his biggest North American tour to date, kicking off August 10th at New Orleans’ Lakefront Arena. Further highlights include stops at Denver’s world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater (slated for September 24th) and Los Angeles’ one-and-only Hollywood Bowl (on October 5th). The global journey includes a stop in Cincinnati, Ohio at Riverbend Music Center on Tuesday, August 28th at 7:30 p.m. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m.

Tickets for the Cincinnati show, $ 39.50 and $ 59.50 Reserved Pavilion, $ 20 General Admision Lawn (plus applicable fees), go on sale to the public on Saturday, April 14 at 10:00am at http://www.Ticketmaster.com, http://www.Riverbend.org, and all Ticketmaster outlets including select Kroger stores. Charge by phone at 1.800.745.3000.

In North America, Jason has worked closely with Ticketmaster to implement their “paperless ticketing” system in most venues, in order to attempt to get the tickets in the hands of “our real fans, without the inflated pricing we’ve seen in so many recent tours. I know we could be charging more for the best seats in the house, but I want all our fans to get an equal chance to afford and buy our tickets.”

In addition to the imminent tour, Mraz has scheduled a number of high profile TV appearances to herald the release of “LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD.” Among the highlights are visits to PBS’ Tavis Smiley and the nationally syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show (both on April 17th), ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 18th, and E!’s Chelsea Lately on April 24th. This spring, Mraz will appear on VH1’s Storytellers, and, later this year, he’ll perform on the popular webcast, Live From Daryl’s House. The appearances follow Mraz’s recent performances on NBC’s Today and CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman, as well as an additional installment of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Mraz and Christina Perri recently performed Perri’s “Distance,” creating a special moment during the German Echo Awards. This was followed by Mraz’s many other international television performances that include Taratata in France and Numero 1 in Spain.

Produced by multiple GRAMMY® Award-winner Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, Christina Perri, My Morning Jacket), “LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD” marks Mraz’s finest, most fully realized collection to date. Fueled by magnificently textured arrangements and distinctive vocal landscapes, the album – Mraz’s fourth studio release and first new collection since 2008’s epochal “WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.” – fully confirms the San Diego-based singer/songwriter as one of modern pop’s most vibrant and inventive artists.

“LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD” is available now for pre-order via http://jasonmraz.com/preorder. A variety of unique packages offer fans the opportunity for first access to ticket pre-sales for Jason’s upcoming tour–available only to people who pre-order through jasonmraz.com. Packages include exciting extras such as a limited edition t-shirt featuring Jason’s own Instagram photos, a hand-numbered lithographed poster, a bumper sticker, a tote bag, a magnet set, an instant download of the recently released “LIVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD” EP, and an array of additional album content such as demos, videos, and special bonus tracks. All pre-order packages will also include an exclusive track, entitled “Collapsible Plans,” which is not available anywhere else.

Meanwhile, “I Won’t Give Up” is proving another pop smash for Mraz, having arrived as the week’s #1 most added track at Hot AC radio outlets nationwide upon its February impact date.

The track is currently bulleting its way towards the top 10 at Hot AC, while also earning major airplay at Triple A outlets across the country.

With worldwide sales nearing 1 million, “I Won’t Give Up” debuted in the #1 slot on Billboard’s “Digital Songs” chart one week before its January release – the first #1 “Digital Songs” debut since Lil’ Wayne’s “She Will (Feat. Drake)” topped the chart in August 2011. The song also quickly ascended to #1 on iTunes’ “Top Songs” and “Top Pop Songs” charts, while simultaneously topping digital retailer charts around the world.

The “I Won’t Give Up” companion video – directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mark Pellington (Bruce Springsteen, U2, Pearl Jam) – has just been added at VH1, where it is currently #7 on the channel’s Top 20 Music Video Countdown. The clip has further drawn more than 2 million individual views at Mraz’ official YouTube channel, located at http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialJasonMraz. In addition, the “I Won’t Give Up” lyric video has seen over 13 million individual views since its surprise arrival earlier this year.

Three tracks from “LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD” will be unveiled in the weeks leading up to the album’s release, beginning with “The Freedom Song,” which is available now exclusively via iTunes. Penned by Seattle-based singer/songwriter Luc Reynaud – whom Jason hails as “a kindred spirit in a time of healing”– the track marks the first cover version to be included on a Mraz studio release. An official lyric video for “The Freedom Song” is streaming now at both YouTube and http://jasonmraz.com. Last week, Mraz released the second preview track titled “93 Million Miles.” The track is currently available on iTunes. A third track and lyric video, “Everything is Sound,” will be unveiled on April 10.

In February, Mraz released an iTunes exclusive EP, entitled “LIVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD.” The four track collection – featuring live acoustic renditions of two songs from “LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD” alongside longtime favorites, “I Never Knew You” and “You Fckn Did It” – was an instant sensation, reaching #2 on the iTunes “Top Pop Albums” chart as well as #5 on the overall “Top Albums” ranking.

Furthermore, a very special Tangrams online game has just launched on Mraz’s official website, offering fans a weekly puzzle based upon the striking artwork featured on “LOVE IS A FOUR LETTER WORD.” Upon solving each week’s puzzle, fans will receive an exclusive track or acoustic video featuring songs from the new album.
One of the modern era’s most gifted pop troubadours, Jason Mraz’s extraordinary musical journey has taken him from coffee houses to stadiums all over the world, with two GRAMMY® Awards and six nominations already to his credit. His 2008 third album, “WE SING. WE DANCE. WE STEAL THINGS.” was an indelible global blockbuster, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum certifications in 21 countries around the world. The album’s lead single, “I’m Yours” was ASCAP’s 2010 “Song of the Year” and also holds the record for being the longest-running song in the history of the Billboard “Hot 100” chart. A prolific songwriter, Mraz has been feted with a number of honors, including the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s esteemed “Hal David Starlight Award,” presented to gifted songwriters who are making a significant impact in the music industry via their original songs.

Mraz spent much of 2011 road-testing the songs from his as-yet-untitled new album touring alongside his longtime friend, percussionist Noel “Toca” Rivera. The worldwide trek – which included performances in North America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia – saw Mraz celebrating music’s lasting power to inspire change and help others through global citizenship. Among the journey’s many highlights were multiple sold out shows at such iconic venues as Australia’s Sydney Opera House, New York City’s Carnegie Hall, and Spreckels Theatre in Mraz’s adopted hometown of San Diego.

Long known for his many philanthropic activities, Mraz recently announced the establishment of the Jason Mraz Foundation (http://jasonmraz.com/foundation/), devoted to supporting a number of charities for which he has been a dedicated and impassioned advocate.

San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) April 16, 2012

The Nike Big League Baseball Camp at Adelphi University is directed by Director of Operations for Professional Sports Camps Vincent Carlesi. Carlesi has been directing the Big League Baseball Camps for the past 24 years. The combination of this Big League Baseball Camp staff along with the opportunity to train at the brand new home field of the Panthers makes this camp, a camp every young baseball player would want to attend.

“We are thrilled to have confirmed our 2012 dates at Adelphi University,” states Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps. “We look forward to the start of this camp and are confident that this location will be the premier baseball camp in New York.”

Adelphi University, located near Long Island’s parks and beaches, the 75-acre campus is only 45 minutes from New York City, offering the combined advantages of a major metropolitan area and a safe, suburban campus environment.

Campers train daily this summer at the brand new million dollar home field of the Panthers located on campus. William J. Bonomo Memorial Field was opened in 2007 and re-dedicated in 2008. The 1.4 million dollar complex plays host to the Adelphi baseball team and can also serve as a practice field for other intercollegiate teams.

Nike Baseball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.

Allentown, PA (PRWEB) March 31, 2011

Final Four Saturday brings an end to the hibernation period that many men go through each winter. It’s been over 4 months since owners officially started Man Cave season by retreating to the Man Cave on Black Friday and raising a mug of beer or firing up a cigar for a day of celebration. Man Cave season comes to an end on Final Four Saturday and ManCaveDay.com will celebrate the day by streaming a Final Four Party live on their website. ManCaveDay.com will begin broadcasting as the first game tips off on Saturday, April 2nd.

On the day after Thanksgiving, men declared the end of outdoor activities as most of the country is too cold for playing golf, riding the motorcycle, or fishing on the boat. It’s was time to bring outdoor hobbies inside, for most men that means time in the Man Cave playing poker, throwing darts, shooting pool, playing video games, or watching sports with the guys. Even the President of the United States participated on Man Cave Day, but was injured during a pickup basketball game in the White House Man Cave. I’m sure this game was strategically planned on Black Friday as Mr. Obama knew that his girls would probably be out shopping with the First Lady. Not many of us have a basketball court in our caves, so we settle for the typical pool table, recliner, and flat screen.

One could argue that the unofficial start of Man Cave season is the first Sunday of the NFL season when there is 10 hours of football on TV. The only problem is that you have to make a choice between the NFL, golfing, biking, fishing, or even cutting the lawn because the weather is still nice enough to do these activities in early September. That’s why the day after Thanksgiving is the perfect day to official kickoff Man Cave season. For the guys outside of Southern California and Florida, there is no competition for the Man Cave in late November. Besides, it’s Black Friday when most people have the day off and there should be plenty leftovers from Thanksgiving.

The inaugural Man Cave Day was full of action packed college football games that featured the newly crowned National Champs Auburn Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (Defending Champs). This turned out to be the game of the year, but only to be followed by the thrilling Boise State vs. Nevada game play later that night along with NBA, NHL, and NCAA hoops action. The founder of Man Cave Day will be streaming his Final Four party live online at http://www.mancaveday .com to celebrate the end of Man Cave season. “We can only hope that the Final Four games are as exciting as the official day that started off the season”, says Ron Thomas, owner of ManCaveDay.com.
