HoopsQuest Offers a Basketball Recruiting Workshop for Athletes and Parents

Whether you are an athlete who desires to be recruited, an athlete who is currently being recruited or a parent, the recruiting process can be confusing and overwhelming. This workshop is designed to guide athletes and their families through the process, empowering the recruit with the knowledge needed to make the best decision for his or her future.
The workshop will be offered for high school boys and girls, Mondays, June 5-26, 2006 at Joy of the Game in Deerfield, IL. Freshmen and sophomores will meet 7 – 8:15 p.m., juniors and seniors will meet 8:15 – 9:30 p.m.
The cost of this workshop series is $ 160 for 1 athlete and 1 player. Cost includes a binder of recruiting information that will come in handy throughout your recruiting experience.
Speakers will include current college players who will share their experiences in the recruiting process.
Kathleen Weber, speaker
Kathleen Weber has eleven years of experience coaching Division I basketball at DePaul University, the University of Notre Dame and the University of North Carolina at Asheville. For past four years she has trained elite high school, college, and professional athletes.
David Adelman, speaker
David Adelman has fifteen years of experience coaching high school, Division I and III basketball, and served as an assistant coach and general manager of a minor league professional team. In the past two years he has assisted in the recruitment of five players playing Division I and II basketball.
“This class will be a great tool to help families understand the intricacies of the recruiting process, and there is nobody with a greater depth of experience than David Adelman,” said David Kaplan, a Division I basketball color commentator and author of “Ultimate Recruitment Guide & Notebook.”
