SafenSoft Declares First US Conference Participation a “Resounding Success”
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) March 22, 2011
SafenSoft, a leading developer of security software for the banking and financial services industries, participated in the 12th annual ATM Industry Association Conference and Expo last month both as an exhibitor and as a conference speaker. It was the second US conference speaking spot for CEO Michael Kalinichenko (the first was at Virus Bulletin 2010 in Vancouver last September), and the first time the company has exhibited at a US trade show.
Kalinichenko participated in the panel session “Defending Against Malware: Lessons From Black Hat” alongside representatives from Diebold, NCR, Triton, Wincor Nixdorf, and other leading ATM vendors and attended by more than 70 conference delegates. Moderator Peter Kulik, Vice President, Product Innovation, Fifth Third Processing Solutions, led a lively discussion of the issues raised by and lessons to be learned from researcher Barnaby Jack’s public ATM hacks at last summer’s Black Hat conference.
As a result of his contributions to the panel session, Kalinichenko has been invited to work with ATMIA on the next iteration of the organization’s ATM Software Security Best Practices document, and to join the PCI-DSS Security Steering Committee. Adds Kalinichenko, “I am delighted and honored to be invited to participate in these influential projects, and I look forward to adding a new perspective to the discussions from the frontlines of the cybersecurity wars in Russia.”
Kalinichenko and US General Manager Jim Leonard also met with a number of potential business partners, and significant opportunities emerged for SafenSoft to support the efforts of US companies in Russia, as well as business expansion opportunities in the US market.
