Squires & Corrie Slot Machines recently restored a vintage 1932 Mills War Eagle. The entire mechanism was rebuilt with all appropriate parts sandblasted to like-new condition. The cabinet wood was clear-coated with gold pinstriping, while the castings were stripped, polished, nickel-plated, and hand-painted to perfection. New strips were added to the reels.

“The restored machine is magnificent and plays beautifully,” said Jack Mansfield of Silver Creek. “I find it difficult to keep from staring at it.”

This level of dedication to the craft has been noted by many others. The San Francisco Examiner reported, “Squires & Corrie’s expert staff can do all aspects of refurbishing and repairs—from jobs as simple as removing a jammed coin or tuning up a machine to replacing broken parts or changing the color scheme.”

From their workshop packed floor to ceiling with spare parts and specialty equipment, the people of Squires & Corrie painstakingly restore antique slot machines. Because they specialize only in slots, they have become renowned as world-class restorers and suppliers of hard-to-find parts.

When David Mariani needed to get his slot machine serviced, he dropped by Squires & Corrie. He discovered that it was missing parts.

“Wondering where I would get a replacement part for a slot machine that has been out of production for 75 years depressed me, temporarily,” said Mariani, “After thinking for a moment, Steve Squires walked down an aisle with thousands of parts, picked up a box, and found the correct replacement parts that were 75 years old. My machine is now fixed.”
